Final Patrol: Investigator Ronald R. Malacarne (Retired)

Ronald R. Malacarne, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 16, 2022 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Roman and Katherine (DeSantis) Malacarne; and the beloved husband of Patricia (DeLuke) Malacarne, who he married on October 17, 1964 at Prince of Peace Church.

Ron was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and served in the United States Army, as well as the United States Army Reserves until his honorable discharge. He worked at Loblaws as a meat cutter for 10 years before completing his studies and training at the New York State Police Academy. Ron proudly served as a New York State Trooper, Sergeant and Narcotics Investigator for 24 years at the Lewiston Barracks and retired on March 25, 1991. He continued to stay active with the Police Benevolent Association. Ayer his retirement, Ron joined Towne Buick as a car salesman for 15 years. He won salesman of the month numerous times and was also a Regional Sales award winner, earning a trip to Las Vegas at the Bellagio Hotel. He took great pride in his position, and was an honest, reliable salesman that treated his customers as family. He would go to great lengths to find the right car for his customers. Ron loved to be around the company of his family, and friends with a home cooked meal and a glass of wine. He was a very personable man who was an admirable story teller, and had the ability to make an entire room laugh with his sense of humor. He loved to golf, enjoyed his Sunday family dinners while watching the Bills, Yankees, and boxing matches with his late father-in-law, Peter J. DeLuke. Most of all, he enjoyed spending his winter months at his condominium in Ahwatukee, Arizona with his wife Patricia, his daughter Colleen Bosselli, her husband John Bosselli and in-laws Butch and Marsha Bosselli. In addition to his wife of 57 years, Mr. Malacarne is survived by his daughter, Colleen (John) Bosselli; his sister, Joan (late Michael) DiFillipo, and several beloved nephews.
