Final Patrol: Sergeant Station Commander, Paul E. Sucher (Retired)

It is with deep regret that Major Eugene Staniszewski, Troop E Commander, announces the death of retired Sergeant Station Commander, Paul E. Sucher on October 30, 2021 at the age of 77. Sergeant Sucher entered the Division of State Police in 1968 and retired in 1991 after 23 years of service. He was last stationed at SP Williamson. Upon retirement, he continued his service to the community as a Local Criminal Court Justice for the Town of Ontario Court. Sergeant Sucher is the father of Lieutenant Kevin P. Sucher, Troop E VGNET.

Paul E. Sucher
Ontario: Paul passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the age of 77. Paul was born on Friday, March 10, 1944 in Sodus, NY to the late Paul and Lillian "Barker" Sucher. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Barbara; daughters, Dawn (Michael) Gumina and Lori (Robert) Sucher; son, Kevin (Terri) Sucher; stepson Gordan (JoAnne) Barron; stepdaughter Rhonda (Scott) Morehouse; 9 grandchildren, 4 great granddaughters; extended family and friends.
Paul was a retired sergeant from the New York State Police, Troop E, where he had served for a period of 23 years. He was a former Town of Ontario Justice and a member of the Town of Ontario Fire Company. Paul was an avid golfer and he gave 100% to everything he did in life. He will be missed but fondly remembered.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Funeral and committal services will be private.
