Mid Hudson Chapter AFNYST August meeting
The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Association of Former New York State Troopers held their monthly meeting on August 4, 2021 at Fosters Coach House Rhinebeck . There were 17 members in attendance. The meeting began with an opening prayer by Ernie Floegel then the Pledge of Allegiance led by President Fred Schall . There was a moment of silence for our deceased members, Men and Women serving in our Military ,and our members deployed across the State.
President - Made a motion to contribute $100.00 to the Troop K Golf Tournament. Motion was passed.

Trooper Joseph Gallagher Memorial Bridge -
Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed into law NYSTPBA-sponsored legislation (S.6091A/A.7432A) designating a NYS Thruway bridge in West Seneca in memory of Trooper Joseph Gal
lagher, who died in the line of duty earlier this year after being struck by a distracted motorist in 2017. Located a short distance from Thruway Exit 54, the bridge crosses over New York State Route 16 in West Seneca, where Trooper Gallagher grew up.
DEA reunion dinner is planned for November 4, 2021.
Denise Loveland’s retirement party is scheduled for August 13, 2021at the American Legion Rhinebeck. ( see flyer sent to chapter members )
Treasurer Frank Christensen reported a total of $7935.06 in the chapters account.
