Our Chapter met on October 13th at “My Place” in New Windsor with the following attending: Sitler, Escobar, Heppes, Eddie Beach, Wentink, Hudson, John Richichi, Bill Murphy, Gillespie, Del Toro, Ventura, Caridi, Wierzbicki, Lane, Ross, Tom Dunn, Garrison, Thorpe, Sweetman, Hayes, Irish. (21 members).

The meeting opened with The Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer.

Many thanks to Laurel and John Wentink for providing Ice cream sandwiches from the Dug Out in Central Valley.

Final Patrol: Noted was the passing of retired Z/Sgt. Bob Jackman, age 81 on 9/2; retired Inv. Bob Berry, age 77 on 9/16; retired Tpr. Nelson Burke, age 70 on 9/19; Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian “Butch” Anderson, age 73 on 9/29; and retired Capt. Ed Whalen, age 83 on 10/3. Rest In Peace all.

Sick Leave: No update available on VP Don Plunkett who had been in Castle Point VA Hospital.

The Chapter treasurers report was approved.

The Chapter voted to approve the application of new member, retired Major Steve Nevins who last served as the Major in charge of PSU. Welcome aboard Steve.

The DETF luncheon is back on for 11/04/2021. Contact Camille at concettafaciabella@hotmail.com for the event location and further details.

The Chapter’s bi-annual election of officers was conducted. For 2022, Bob Caridi was elected President, John Richichi was elected Vice President, Greg Sitler, Secretary, and Mike Escobar, Treasurer.

Special recognition and thanks to Dick Thorpe and Don Plunkett who had served for several terms as President and Vice President respectively.

The annual Christmas Dinner is tentatively scheduled for Sunday December 5th. Details are incomplete at this time.

The 50/50 was won by Al Wierzbicki. The attendance award was won by John Ross.

The next regular meeting is Wednesday November 10th, at “My Place”.
